Huning Umwelttechnik is a globally acting company which has acquired an excellent reputation by developing efficient solutions for the economic treatment of sewage sludge and industrial sludge. Whatever is considered - clearance, dewatering or utilisation, the application of mobile or stationary systems or the repair of centrifuges - Huning always dedicates all of its activities to the environment.

Founded in 1977, the company worked in its early years as an agricultural engineering contractor. In addition to the services, offered in the field of agriculture, the company started to provide first services to local authorities, comprising mainly the utilisation of sewage sludge.

In the 1980ies, in Germany the environmental point of view became more and more important. Political and social discussions had led to a rethinking. From this time on, the demand for ecologically responsible acting has been increasing continuously. Due to this development, Huning as a company with first competences in the field of environmental compatibility focused on other priorities.
In the course of repositioning the original contracting business was continuously extended by services to local authorities. By the year 1999 the company Huning Umwelttechnik has been established.
Nowadays the company has 50 employees with specific know-how in different domains of environmental technology. Huning Umwelttechnik is headquartered in Melle-Kerssenbrock and provides its services throughout Germany and in many European countries.
